Just thought I would let you all know the good news, we have almost secured a new storage room for our equipment on campus. Full info will be sent out soon, in addition to keys etc. Some time shortly I will be asking for a couple of volunteers to help secure the place and transport the kit from JohnK's house via donkey. (no donkeys will be harmed in this process)

Kate, who is leaving us for the flatness of Cambridgeshire. In celebration of her departure the club are requested to congregate in the Back of Beyond on Thursday 22nd, from 7.30 onwards. Which by happy coincidence is the same venue/time as Mark's visit (see below). Please make sure you attend this double celebration/farewell and enjoy all the economies of scale/effort it involves. Sadly the ferret will not be in attendance.
Radio 4 recently did a programme on caving and wildlife, on location in the Three Peaks. Still available online - see here
Some of you may remember Mark Horswill, a founding father of the modern club and part of the bedrock on which the club built its foundations. Having gone to live in Australia Mark finds himself back here and in the Back of Beyond, Kings Road on Thursday 22nd January, from 8.00 pm onwards. All welcome - you can ask him about the old days when they used to pad their boiler suits out with moss to keep warm.
