We are pleased to announce that the CHECC website is up and running. CHECC stands for Council of Higher Education Caving Clubs and aims to provide networking and resources for university clubs. We are proud to sponsor CHECC and hope it will help usher in the next generation of UK cavers. If you are in a university club and are not already aware of involved be ashamed - you are really missing out. CHECC is of course the reason why the speleoshop hasn't been updated yet, but patience comes to all good things whom wait...

Thanks to everyone at Hidden Earth, we had a most good time. Our personal photos of the event are here. Standouts for us are the 3D slideshow and the fact that we got members of the public to put a cardboard box on their heads to demonstrate our 'glow in the dark' T shirts. These, along with other bits & pieces will be available in our online shop soon.
Quick reminder that if you are a UK caver you will no doubt be at this year's Hidden Earth Conference, (Kendal 1-3 October). We will be there celebrating our first birthday, so please drop by for a chat, an explantion and a lollipop. We have some new stuff to flog (hopefully), but it will inevitably be in limited supply. This includes a couple of new T shirts, a selection of headgear and tops. And possibly some beards. Look out for a revamped online shop soon. And naturally we are looking forward to cutting some very deep rug at the stomp.

It's finally here! Join big time Devon dealer 'Fast' Buck Leigh as he wheels and deals speleobling merchandise across the deep south west. We think this is possibly the first caving photostory ever produced - but probably not the last. Please send us ideas, or if you fancy doing your own we are happy to post it. This could be the start of a whole new sub-genre. Click above or here to join Fast Buck on his adventures. Keep it real!
To continue our 'armchair caver' theme here's a site which has a virtual tour of OFD. You too can now work out exactly where you went wrong. I suspect that after 14 hours on this site you will get a concerned e-mail from South Wales Cave Rescue, but haven't had chance to put this to the test. Thanks for this link: Jim Grimbleby, Class of '72.
Nooooo... Someone has got there first. Yes, you can now build your own cave and avoid all that tedious trolling up the M6 to Yorkshire every weekend. Reminds us of the time that we going to make a cave video without leaving the kitchen. This was to involve much papier mache and a very understanding landlord.
Speleolabs continues to go from strength to strength and is now listing several major celebrities of the caving world as regular brand users. Latest recruit is Mr Andy Sparrow, star of the caving blockbusters (or should we say boulder busters) the Cave Safe Series, and A Rock and a Hard Place. As an international speleo film star, author and caving guru he only uses the best gear that not only functions but also looks the part. When asked to sum up his Speleolabs cranial protection artefact he said "This hat changed my life". A big version of this picture is located here. Ends.
